True inclusion is more than accessibility, it’s about creating workplaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to contribute.
The Level the Field Program, delivered by Leisure Networks in partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria, is supporting eligible organisations to turn that vision into action. The program provides funding to remove barriers, strengthen workforce capability, and embed inclusive practices into paid and volunteer roles and everyday operations.
Level the Field helps organisations move from intention to action, creating practical opportunities for people with disability to work, volunteer, and lead across Victoria.
How Level the Field Supports Inclusion
Eligible organisations can use funding to:
- Create new employment or volunteering opportunities for people with disability
- Deliver inclusion or accessibility training for staff, coaches, and committees
- Review and redesign roles, policies, or recruitment processes to make workplaces more accessible
- Strengthen partnerships between sport, community, and disability organisations
Co-design is central to the program, encouraging organisations to work directly with people with disability to plan, implement, and evaluate projects. This ensures solutions are practical, meaningful, and sustainable.
Support Beyond Funding
Successful applicants will also access:
- The Learning and Development Hub, delivered by Disability Sport and Recreation Victoria, providing training, mentoring, and resources to embed best-practice inclusion
- Regionally based Inclusion Coaches, offering lived experience and local insights to support project delivery and build lasting change
