Run4Geelong 2025: A Community Powered by Inclusion

What a day! Run4Geelong 2025 brought our community together in the best possible way, with thousands of people running, walking, wheeling, and cheering for a great cause. It was a true celebration of inclusion, and we at Leisure Networks were so proud to be part of it.

As an Impact Partner, Leisure Networks helped make this year’s event more accessible and inclusive than ever. In the months leading up to race day, we launched our Run4Geelong Training Program, an eight-week series designed for people of all abilities to build fitness, confidence, and connections. The energy was contagious, with participants supporting each other and celebrating every milestone on the road to event day.

A huge thank you goes to our friends at the Geelong Neuro Centre, who partnered with Leisure Networks to cover registration costs for 50 students from Nelson Park School and Armstrong Creek School. Their support helped ensure these students could experience the excitement of race day and be part of the wider community celebration. Their enthusiasm and energy on the course perfectly captured what Run4Geelong is all about.

On the day, the Leisure Networks team cheered from the sidelines, ran alongside participants, and welcomed visitors to our Reset Zone, a calm, sensory-friendly space for anyone needing time out from the buzz of the crowd. It was heartwarming to hear how many families and participants found comfort and confidence through this simple but meaningful addition.

Run4Geelong raised more than $305,000 for the Barwon Health Foundation, supporting local health services and reinforcing just how generous and connected the Geelong community continues to be.

For Leisure Networks, being part of Run4Geelong is about more than one event. It is about celebrating what can happen when inclusion, community, and joy come together.

Here’s to everyone who trained, cheered, ran, and supported. You made Run4Geelong 2025 one to remember!
