Thank you to everyone who was able to share our farewell afternoon tea for Libby Mears this Tuesday. It was an emotional, but enjoyable afternoon as we celebrated a decade of incredible leadership. As you are aware, our Leisure Networks Board is currently recruiting for a new CEO and are close to finalising the appointment. In the meantime the Board has asked me to act in the role of CEO. It is my absolute pleasure to take this interim role and oversee the transition to the new CEO, once they join us. For those of you I have not met, I have been at Leisure Networks for over 3 years; Executive Director of Strategy, Performance and Customer.
I would like to take the opportunity to reassure you that while Libby steps into the next chapter of her professional career, everything else at Leisure Networks is just the same. Our excellent management and operations teams will be going about their everyday work in just the same ways they always do – putting you, our customers front and centre to support you all to live your best lives.
We have some exciting things happening at the moment, on Sunday the first ever Grand Final for the AFL Barwon Inclusion League will be played at Bell Park in Geelong. And this week bookings opened for our School Holiday Programs. Bookings for Term 3 programs will also be opening very soon.
Each and every day, we are continuing to support people to live independently, to manage their plans, to pursue work opportunities, to try new things and to have fun!
