Leisure Networks COVID Update 27th May 2021

Leisure Networks COVID Update 27th May 2021

Your health and safety is in the front of our mind

With the latest announcements from the state government around COVID-19, and Victoria going into a seven day lockdown from midnight tonight Thursday 27th May until Thursday 3rd June, 11.59pm, Victorians will only have five reasons to leave home:

shopping for food and supplies, authorised work, care and caregiving, exercise with one other person for up to two hours and getting vaccinated.

A five-kilometre travel radius will also be introduced. Shopping will be limited to one person per day, per household. Face masks will be required to be worn at all times when outside your home and you are encouraged to wear one when you have essential visitors inside your home.

Private and public gatherings will not be permitted, although single bubbles and intimate partner visits will be allowed.

For the full details on the seven day lockdown please visit the DHHS website.

The health and safety of our customers, staff and communities is our priority and is the single most important issue when making decisions at Leisure Networks.  It is our duty of care to provide a safe, health promoting work environment that minimises risks of exposure to COVID-19, and with that in mind I am updating you with the necessary changes we are making to our support programs which operate in the community.

Community-group program changes

We will cease the delivery of non-essential community-based group activities, so effective from today 27th May 11.59pm:

  • All group programs will be cancelled until 3rd June 11.59pm (review at this date in line with the state government advice)
