Leisure Networks COVID Update 9th June 2021

Restrictions to ease in Melbourne and be further eased in Regional Victoria
What a few weeks it has been, but I am pleased to say that from 11.59pm tomorrow night, Thursday, 10th June the toughest lockdown rules will be lifted in Melbourne but some restrictions will remain. There will continue to be different restrictions between Greater Melbourne and regional Victoria.

It will be mandatory for all Victorians across the state to check into shops, including supermarkets, and all workplaces using the Service Victoria QR code check-in.

Under the NEW restrictions applying to Regional Victoria:

  • There is no limit on the distance you can travel but it is important to remain COVIDSafe
  • FACE MASKS must be carried all times and are required indoors at all times for anyone aged 12 years and older unless you have an exemption or unless in your private home.  Face Masks are NOT required outdoors when physical distancing of 1.5 meters can be maintained
  • GATHERINGS – Limited to 2 adults per day to your home, together or separately, dependents excluded from cap.  NO more than 20 people at public gathers
  • SCHOOLS/WORKPLACES – Open with restrictions
  • RETAIL, FOOD AND HOSPITALITY – Open with restrictions
  • TRAVEL FROM REGIONAL VICTORIA – Regional Victorians can travel within regional Victoria but can only travel to Melbourne for a permitted reason and the Melbourne restrictions will apply
  • COMMUNITY SPOR– Community sport is OPEN for all ages.

Under the NEW restrictions applying to Greater Melbourne:

  • The FIVE reasons to leave home have been removed, however there is a 25km travel limit in place, with people only permitted to travel for work, education, caregiving or getting a vaccine.
  • FACE MASKS must be carried all times and are required indoors at all times for anyone aged 12 years and older unless you have an exemption or unless in your private home.  Face Masks are NOT required outdoors when physical distancing of 1.5 meters can be maintained
  • GATHERINGS – No visitors to your home, except bubble and intimate partner bookings and NO more than 10 people at public gathers
  • SCHOOLS/WORKPLACES – Open with restrictions
  • RETAIL, FOOD AND HOSPITALITY – Open with restrictions
  • COMMUNITY SPOR–  Community sport training only to resume, competitions not permitted.
  • All West group programs will RESUME from Tuesday 15th June and will be carried out in line with the restrictions that are in place. 
  • All Barwon group programs will CONTINUE  however any groups travelling to Melbourne while there are the current restrictions in place will be cancelled.

If Restrictions are still in place when bookings open some experiences may not be able to be booked due to these COVID restrictions. 
As restrictions ease we will communicate updates with you and open up the Melbourne based experiences.

Support Coordination Services
Support coordinators continue to provide important support at this time. All our staff are working from home with all communication being conducted via online conferencing or telephone. This means we can keep delivering the excellent quality of support you are used to receiving from Leisure Networks.

Financial Plan Management
There is no change to our Financial Plan Management services. We will continue to deliver the same level of great service to our customers and processing of all provider invoices.
