Hello everyone,
A good news day for our people in regional areas as the State Government announced yesterday that Regional Victoria, except for greater Shepparton will exit lockdown from 11.59pm tonight, Thursday 9th September.
The lifting of restrictions means the five reasons to leave your home will no longer apply and there will be no limit on the distance regional Victorians can travel from home.
All of the current lockdown restrictions will likely remain in place in Metropolitan Melbourne until 70% of people have had at least one dose of vaccine. This is estimated to be around 23rd September.

We are inviting all our Leisure Networks customers to a COVID-19 Vaccine information session and Q&A with Dr. Danny Le on Tuesday 14th September at 2pm. To join the meeting click here (please do not share this link publicly)
The session has been arranged via DHHS and will include information about:
- What is a vaccine?
- How are vaccines developed?
- How do COVID-19 Vaccines work?
- How have COVID-19 Vaccines been tested and how safe are they?
- What are the side effects?

Who is Dr. Danny Le?
Dr. Danny Le has been a GP in Keysborough for 21 years. Danny is a Clinical Director at Parkmore Medical Centre and has special interests in immunisation, geriatric medicines, chronic disease management, travel medicines, child and adolescent health and minor procedures. Dr. Danny Le has supervised more than 12,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines over the past 6 months.
If you have any questions that you would like asked during this session, you can email them to [email protected] prior to the session, or you can ask a question in person during the Q&A part of the session.
We encourage you to come along if you would like more information, or if you are unsure about receiving the vaccine. It is a safe space to get your questions answered by an expert. Join the Q&A session HERE
What else are we doing?
Community-group programs
- All West group programs are NOT running (will be reviewed in line with the restrictions in place).
- All Barwon group programs will RESUME from Monday 13th September however any groups due to be travelling to Melbourne while there are current restrictions in place will be cancelled.
- Please also note if you live in the Melbourne Metropolitan area, you cannot attend our group programs in the Barwon Region
Virtual Programs
Our team have put together a new virtual program allowing everyone whether you are from Metropolitan Melbourne or Regional Victoria to come together online and connect with some fun activities on offer. Activities on offer to include a yoga session, music show, dance party, education and work skills, craft and chat… VIEW THE BROCHURE HERE
