Power 2 Pedal – Geelong

Power 2 Pedal is a fun, inclusive, welcoming and safe environment in which to master the art of riding a bike!

Our Power 2 Pedal program is a bike riding programfor kids and teens with autism. The program will offer participants theopportunity to learn how to ride a bike and include it in their lifestyle. Not only does it offer the opportunity to ride a bike, but also to build confidence and make new friends too!

The program will be held at the Geelong Cycling Club in Belmont on Monday afternoons, starting on Monday 3rd May until Monday 7th June (6 week Program).

Level 1 (Beginners) - 4.00pm – 4.45pm

Level 2 (Intermediate) - 5.00pm – 5.45pm

Level 1 (Beginners) is designed for those who are new to bike riding or those who have been riding with training wheels. Focus areas will be balancing, pedaling, steering and braking.

Level 2 (Intermediate) is designed for those who are confident riding but need to refine their skills. Focus areas may be areas such as controlling/turning, braking, scanning, gear changing, hazard awareness.

The group size will be a maximum of 7 participants with 2 coaches. We recommend all participants have someone with them at the program to support their development one to one. Please note that support staff are not organised through this program. Should participant support be required, please organise this through a disability service provider (such as Leisure Networks 5222 3911).
